
–I only do the 30 minute toning video, even though you are supposed to do the one hour Dance Cardio DVD everyday in addition to the toning. And I didn’t do it while traveling, so it took me longer than 30 days to complete the first DVD. –I aim to do the DVD 6 times a week, but sometimes it only happens 5 times. I’m apparently Omnicentric, which means I gain weight all over. Here are my impressions of the Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis DVD set and my tips for sticking with it: Why spend so much time and effort applying fancy creams to preserve my face while I let my body go to sh*t? I became determined and pulled out that DVD set again on June 20th, 2015, and I have been consistently doing it ever since then! I AM NOT READY TO HAVE A MIDDLE-AGED MOM BODY!! A few too many bowls of queso and cocktails by the pool, and suddenly I was looking puffy, developing cellulite at a viral pace, and my pants were tight (cue blaming the dry cleaners). And while my natural body type is small-boned and relatively slim, it is also soft and lacks muscle tone. My point is that I was not exercising, like AT ALL. That is mostly due to my healthier attitude towards food, but I’ll save that discussion for another post. I don’t think I’m fat– in fact, since having children I’m actually thinner than I was during most of my twenties. Save your “love your body” speeches, please. This is a difficult post for me to write because I don’t want readers to think I’m complaining about my body, or I think I’m fat, etc. Busbee– is she the only person on earth who has ever stuck with a DVD workout for more than two weeks? How does she have so much damn motivation, and is she perhaps super-human? Even though I could see a difference in that short amount of time, I simply lost motivation and the expensive DVD set started gathering dust. That was a year ago, and I did it a solid 10, maybe 12 days, and then never did it again. After reading about Erin Busbee’s amazing transformation last Summer, I immediately purchased the Metamorphosis DVD set. Perhaps you might want to check Tracy’s routines on her YouTube channel before purchasing DVD or her website, which also has loads of tips and even playlists.

I can personally confirm, even if you have 1 square meter of space available in a hotel you can still do this cardio! You might need to kick one leg in one direction and then turn 180 degrees and kick the other into the same direction, but it’s doable, just don’t put your foot through the TV!

It’s tough, but what worth doing isn’t? However it puts you in such a great mood and it will also keep you going while on your travels and in hotels. And even though I like to change up my exercise routines- a Zumba class here, a bit of swimming and running there, I still find Tracy to be the best DVD workout program I’ve ever tried, it actually works. Right now I am on her follow up DVD- ‘Metamorphosis Continuity’ – another 90 days, I am actually repeating them right now for the third time, but with added ankle weights. The 90 day program changes every ten days so it gets your muscles confused and that’s exactly what we want, remember? The program comes with a 30min dance cardio DVD as well as three workout DVDs, it’s geniously designed, she switches movement every three to four seconds, no repetition. When I started, I thought that once I got into her cardio programmes I would be a PRO, yet somehow she still makes me sweat like crazy and leaves me exhausted after every single workout. I know it sounds cliche but she completely transformed my body, she sculpted me! Her DVD workouts called ‘Metamorphosis’ are designed to kick and lift your butt like there’s no tomorrow. It feels like I am revealing my biggest secret, my greatest exercise weapon, but Tracy Anderson is hardly a secret in the fitness industry, not least of all due to clients like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow.
